Ragi semiya is easy and healthy breakfast, at first time in my home all of them hate the name semiya, some time they ignore breakfast too, but now they like to eat this recipe.
Ingredients:
Onion - chopped 1/2 cup.
Ragi semiya- 1 pack.
Salt as needed
For seasoning:
Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
curry leaves- 1 strip
Red chilly- 3 no
channa dhal- 1 tsp
For Garnishing :
Grated Coconut / thengai thuruval- 1/2 cup
Preparation:
Sock ragi semiya/ sevai 5 minutes in water, add enough salt for semiya in water.
heat idly cooker or idly pot put on semiya in idly plate. heat it some minutes and seperate the semiya with your fingers.
Keep all the ingredients ready.
Method :
Heat oil in a kadai add mustard seeds when its sizzle add curry leaves, channa dhal, green chilly and onions and saute it until it turns golden brown. Add salt to the onions to quicken the process.
Add cooked Ragi samiya into it mix it well.
turn off the stove. now add coconut thuruval into that.
your healthy and easy ragi semiya ready.
Cook on low heat stirring from time to time.
